The Honor X40 smartphone will be unveiled in full next week on September 15. Honor teased the device a few days ago, teasing that it would have a curved screen with a cutout in the center for the selfie camera.
The Honor X40 is supposed to have a 6.67″ screen, 1080×2400 resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, 10-bit color support, an 8 MP front-facing camera, a 50 MP primary rear camera, and a 2 MP auxiliary camera on the back, according to a recent rumor out of China.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 695 SoC, which was also used in the Honor X30, the X40’s predecessor, which debuted last December, will be in charge of things. Keeping the chipset the same is definitely an odd choice, especially considering the Snapdragon 695 is far from a powerhouse.
Anyway, the Honor X40 is supposed to run Android 12 with Magic UI 6.1 on top, have a 5,100 mAh battery, 300 mAh more than its predecessor, enable 40W fast charging, and measure 161.6 x 73.9 x 7.9 mm and weigh 172g.
