The Honourable Member representing Ado/Ogbadibo/Okpokwu Federal Constituency, Dr. Francis Ottah Agbo, has condemned recent attacks and abduction of persons in Utonkon, Ado Local Government Area of Benue State.
Dr. Ottah Agbo who sympathized with victims of the attack, assured the community that all efforts are in place to put an end to such criminal activities in the area.
As a son of the soil, Dr. Ottah Agbo said he is worried over the insecurity in Utonkon and across Ado LGA and vowed not to sleep until peace is totally restored to the land!
The Lawmaker said he had made strong presentations to security agencies and expressed confidence that normalcy will soon return to the whole Ado.
While sympathising with a lady who was wounded during the attack, the Honourable Member who also doubles as Committee Chairman of Narcotic Drugs and Spokesman of the Minority Caucus, prayed for her healing, and healing for all who have suffered similar injuries.
The Feed Back Lawmaker said Utonkon land, his place of birth and nurture is known to be a land of peace, saying no individual or group of persons should be allowed to disrupt the peace in the place.
Dr Ottah Agbo also appreciated the efforts of the state governor, Dr. Samuel Ortom and the security Agencies for their prompt response and pledged to continue to support efforts to ensure peace and security in the entire Benue State.
He also commended the District Head of Utonkon, Chief Mathew Egede, his Council of Chiefs, and the people of Utonkon for their peaceful conduct and urged them to remain calm as efforts to ensure peace and security are in place.
The Ozigizaga of Enone politics also commended Ufia Women for the peaceful protest, stressing that if his mom were to be alive, she would have definitely mobilized women for the protest against the killer herdsmen!
